Maker Asylum– Smart Drone Prototype
During my time as a Maker at Maker Asylum, Goa, I participated in an intensive 10-day residency program, following three months of structured training through both offline and online lectures, as well as hands-on lab sessions. As part of this experience, I developed a smart drone prototype that enabled gesture-based control through user-mounted flex sensors, translating hand and finger movements into precise flight commands. This approach was designed to improve usability and accessibility, making drone operation more intuitive. I built and tested both initial and advanced prototypes, achieving over 80% success in executing core flight functions while also exploring potential cross-industry applications in logistics, healthcare, and entertainment. The project culminated in a presentation at the Make, Break, Create Summit, organized in collaboration with UNDP, UNESCO, and MuSo, where I had the opportunity to showcase my work to UNDP Youth Ambassador Prajakta Koli.
